Manuel E. Zamora is the representative of the 1st district of the Compostella Valley. Zamora is more popularly referred to as Way Kurat which means 'no fear' in Visayas.Zamora started his political career in 1974 when he was elected Councilor of Dauin, Negros Oriental. After more than a decade, he ran for council again and got a seat as Councilor of Monkayo, Davao del Norte. After serving for 6 years, Zamora landed a seat on the Provincial Board of Davao del Norte. Following his tenure there, he was elected to the Provincial Board of Compostela Valley.
